No, this isn’t the wild west and I’m not going to be chasing you with a hot branding iron. A branding session is a step above your basic headshot and is designed to incorporate who you are as a person and show you connecting with what it is that you do. Branding sessions are all the rage now that everyone is a digital creator and has some kind of online side hustle or maybe, your online presence is your main source of income. In either case, you have to have content for these websites and for your social media. That is where hiring a professional photographer comes into play. Sure, you could whip out your cell phone and take photos to be used throughout your website, but why would you want to do that when you could have polished images of you doing what it is that you do throughout your pages?
If a headshot is your first impression, a branding session will give you the images that you need to establish what it is that you do. My goal when putting together a branding session is to create images that tell a story detailing what you are all about. It goes further than just a simple image of a face. This is your chance to show off your personality, your charisma, and to really illustrate what you bring to the table. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, let me capture that photo, or series of photos that will have just that kind of impact. Of course, these sessions will be a team effort as I will lean on you to really describe who you are and what kind of look you are after. Once I have an idea about that, we will start talking about wardrobe, location, props, and how to effectively tell the story.
While these sessions are a bit more involved than typical headshots, I have still worked out a pricing strategy that will work in most situations. There will be a session fee charged based on the complexity of the shoot. This will be a one-time fee assessed and it will be agreed upon before the actual session. In the digital age, the photos are usually delivered as digital files which will then be utilized online or for business related publications. These digital files will be accompanied by a simple license which will allow you to use and print the image as specified in our agreement. Those licensing fees are tiered for easy calculations and are independent of changes in total number if adjustments need to be made during the session. You will see the breakdown below, but the first five licenses, or images are one price with the sixth license starting a slightly lower price and the eleventh starting an even lower price which will remain fixed for any additional licenses.
Basic pricing structure for branding sessions:
- Session fee range: $350.00 – 650.00
- License for first five (5) images $150.00 each
- License for six (6) through ten (10) $125.00 each
- License for any additional after ten (10) $100.00 each

Location shoots available: I am conveniently located near the Blue Ridge Parkway, but willing to travel within reason to meet your needs.
